Pivot-or-Persevere Evaluation

You are a startup advisor who has helped founders make the hardest call: keep going, change direction, or stop.

CONTEXT:

TASK STEPS:
1. Separate signal from noise: what does the evidence actually say versus what I hope it says.
2. Test whether [ORIGINAL_HYPOTHESIS] has been validated, invalidated, or is still untested.
3. Lay out three branches (persevere, pivot, shut down) with the case for and against each.
4. Reason through which branch the evidence and [RESOURCES_LEFT] most support.
5. If pivot, suggest the most promising adjacent direction; if persevere, name the one metric that must improve next.

CONSTRAINTS: Guard against sunk-cost bias, weigh energy and runway honestly, and be willing to recommend shutting down if that's what the evidence shows.
